The Vasa ship is the world's best preserved ship from the 17th century and is truly unique. 98% of the ship is original and it has been called the world's greatest puzzle. Gustav II Adolf had the magnificent Vasa ship built, which was not only meant to be a warship, but also to show the outside world that Sweden and its king were powerful and strong. Unfortunately, things did not go very well and the ship sank already on its maiden voyage in 1628. The Vasa ship then lay at the bottom of the sea for 333 years before being salvaged in 1961. Thanks to the fact that the ship is so well preserved, we can learn a lot about life in the 17th century. How people lived on the ship, what the crew had in their packing and by studying skeletons, you can find out what people ate. In addition to this, the ship's approximately 500 sculptures tell many interesting stories.

Art tour in the subway

Exploring Stockholm's subway art is more than just a trip from one station to another. An art tour in the Stockholm subway is like traveling through an underground gallery, often referred to as “the longest art gallery in the world.” This art gallery has been created by 150 different artists since 1950 to the present day. Of these stations, we visit five stations along the Blue Line, all of which have a special artistic design. Old Town

A walk in the Old Town where history from 750 years is mixed. We walk in the narrow alleys where it feels like time has stood still and we visit historic squares. Learn about Stockholm's history here where the city was founded and visit famous buildings. If desired, we have a coffee at Grillska huset with a history dating back to 1649 and now known for its good cinnamon buns. *Cost of transportation is added. *

Royal Palace

We visit the magnificent Baroque castle which is the Royal Palace of Stockholm and one of the largest royal castles in Europe. A visit here is a journey through Swedish history, culture and architecture.

Drottningholm Palace

The castle was built after French role models by architect Nicodemus Tessin the Elder on behalf of Queen Hedvig Eleonora. Several royals have since left their mark on the castle. Today, the palace is the permanent residence of the King and Queen. Drottningholm Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit to the castle and the castle garden, time spent about 1.5 hours. Combine it with a visit to the pleasure castle of China Castle and the 18th century castle theater or visit the Museum de Vries in the old Dragon Stables with bronze sculptures from the 17th century. Admission fees apply. Costs for transportation by car, bus or boat are added.

Bus tour + Vasamuset

Your group will be picked up by bus and we will start with a guided tour around Stockholm when you sit comfortably in the bus. Next comes a visit to the very interesting Vasa Museum. Hammarby Sjöstad, focus on the environment

On this walk in Hammarby Lake City you will hear about the so-called Hammarby model, the model that was developed when Sjöstaden was to be built and which has become known around the world. How did you think about building materials, transport, energy use, stormwater management and water supply? Did it turn out as one had intended? During the hike you will see various environmental solutions for storm water, waste and transport. We will also pass some of the artworks that are located here.

In the footsteps of Alfred Nobel

You are welcome to join us on this hike as you both get to experience beautiful nature and hear about Alfred Nobel and his activities in Vinterviken. We start from Liljeholmen and then go via Lake Trekanten, past the colonial area and finally arrive at Vinterviken. During the walk you will learn more about this: What activities were going on in Vinterviken? Why did Alfred Nobel move his business from Södermalm to Vinterviken? How did the people who lived and worked there live? What were the dangers surrounding the testing and production of dynamite? When did the colonial gardens come to Stockholm? Who was the initiator of these?

Nature walk around Albysjön

The star-shaped Alby Lake lines Tyresö National Park and is beautifully nestled among cliffs and greenery. During this hike, which is about 8 km long, we will walk both along the water and in a forest environment. We take several breaks at nice viewpoints where you can enjoy your packed lunch bag. We also make a detour to Nyfors rapids before going back a short distance to go over the new bridge and on back to Alby open air farm.

Skogskyrkogården, the Forest Cemetery

Join us on this hike at Skogskyrkogården, a world heritage site dating back 30 years. You will feel the calm and relaxing environment of the beautiful landscape. During the hike we pass the Almöjd, the Seven Wells Trail, the various chapels, the Tallumpaviljongen, etc. You will hear how Gunnar Asplund and Sigurd Lewerentz thought when they planned the cemetery and how the result was. Accessibility: We walk on walkways and paths. There are stairs, but you can walk around them if necessary.
